Minnesota Sled Hockey Association

The 2011 - 2012 Season has begun! Check back often for updates, practice schedules and game information.

The MN Sled Hockey Association is proud to sponsor the MN Northern and the MN Ice Hawks in the 2012 Disabled Hockey Festival taking place in Dallas, TX from April 13 - 15th.  The schedule below will be updated as results are posted.  Please check back often for updated results.

Based on a membership vote, the following board members were recently elected to the MN Sled Hockey Association Board:

Judd Yaeger
Scott Eidsvoog
Eric Rud
Lindy Peterson
Jason Sprynczynatyk 

Each position carries a 3 year term.  In addition, Mike Seeger and Greg Jensen were appointed team reps by their respective team membership.  They will each serve a 1 year term.

From March 22 - 25, the MN Northern participated in the annual Return of the Robin tournament in Rochester, MN.  It proved to be a successful trip as the Northern won the Adult Sled Division!!  Congratulations!!  They competed against teams from MN, Nebraska, and Kansas!  Great Job!

The MN Sled Hockey Association would like to thank the Orono Youth Hockey Association and Kelly Lowe for sponsoring a wonderful fundraiser/community event on February 20th in Mound. 

Following a scrimmage with the MN Ice Hawks vs the Orono's Peewee A boys and U12 girls, a community event was held to raise awareness for Sled Hockey in the Orono community.  Parents and community members were able to try out sled hockey for themselves to see what it is all about!  It was a great way to spend President's Day!  Thank you to all those involved in planning and promoting this event!  We look forward to an ongoing partnership with this wonderful organization!

On Sunday, January 15th, the Rosemount Squirt B Team sponsored a fundraiser at the Rosemount Ice Arena for the benefit of the MN Sled Hockey Association.  The Ice Hawks scrimmaged against the Rosemount Squirt B Team while the Northern scrimmaged against the Rosemount Boys Varsity Hockey Team. 

The night was an amazing success with a Chuck-a-Puck, a Basket Raffle, and tons of food!!   In addition to the Rosemount Squirt B team and their parents, we would like to thank Rosemount Carbone’s Pizza, the Rosemount Area Hockey Association, the Rosemount Youth Hockey Boosters, the RHS Boys Hockey Team, and the Rosemount Community Center Staff.  In addition, we would like to thank Stu Voigt, Larry Hendrickson, Channel 5, and all Rosemount Businesses and Volunteers that took part in this event!

MN Sled Hockey is extremely grateful for the support and for all the effort and organization that went into this event! 
 

MN Sled Hockey would like to extend a big thank you to the Lakeville Hockey Association, the Lakeville South Bantams and the Lakeville South High School Hockey team for their ongoing support.  The fundraiser held on December 11th at Ames Arena was a big success and was enjoyed by all!   We are truly grateful for the continued partnership with this fantastic association!  We look forward to another successful event in 2012!
